spiritandsword: (A Little Sad)

When the Lighthouse and the Cottage came back, that meant Annja came back, too, since she had been inside the Cottage when The Nothing had taken it. When she found herself back, still with weapons in her hand, she let them drop onto the shelf and she stepped back.

That would be when she realized that she needed to sit down as her entire body was a little shaky. When she saw the piece of paper that said Remember, she swallowed hard and then closed her eyes.

She remembered the life she had here in Fandom and how much she loved it. She remembered Garin and Roux and everything that had happened to her since she met them. She remembered all of the worlds she had been to and all of the people she had worked with before the Sword came into her life.

She even remembered Kristy and Doug.

Afterwards, when she felt her mind was tired she reached for her cell phone and sent a text message.

Sean? Sean, please tell me that you're all right.

If she came back from non-existence only to find out that he had been hurt she didn't know what she would do.

[[OOC: This would have been posted last night, but migraine and meds knocked me out.]]

It'd been a tired yet hopeful Sean that'd started trudging back towards home. He'd on instinct walked past the shop, but now he was walking home.

His phone rang, with the special tone set only for Annja's texts. He checked it quickly.

I'm fine. Walking through the front door in about five.

Sent a second later: I love you.

Because he couldn't not say it.

And sure enough, five minutes later Sean was walking through the front door.

A little less than five minutes, really -- he'd broken into a run.

"Annja?"

That's all right, he really doesn't mind.

"It's okay now," he soothed, hugging her tightly. "You're back now. You're safe. Everything's fine now."

"I kind of almost fell apart when I realized you were gone," Sean admitted. "I went kind of numb. We were all camping out in Special Collections. Gwynn had to take over and put up my tent because I kept just kind of staring at it."

"I'm fine now," he assured her. "I have you back, so I'm fine now. I promise."

He wouldn't lie to her, but especially not about something like this.

"All gone," he assured her. "Everything's back to normal. Well, normal for Fandom. But yes. Normal."

He'd never liked normal so much.

"I called Bryce on the way back here," Sean said. "He's back and everything's fine. He was a little confused, but I wasn't going to go into it too much over the phone. I prefer breaking his brain in person. And from what he said, everyone is back."

"Oh, good, then I look like I feel." He smiled tiredly, turning his face towards her touch. "Because I don't think I've slept in... well, in days. Been too busy worrying. And grieving."

"I really, really like the sound of that," Sean admitted. "I feel like I could sleep for days."

Especially if he got to hold her while he slept.
